Meaningful Relationships

DSC 0124Connecting with one another in a meaningful way is what the Greek word for "fellowship" is all about. Calvary Newberg is a smaller fellowship so there are plenty of opportunities to get to know the other members of the body.

We join together regularly to enjoy meals together, pray, and support one another. There are no "lone wolves" in the church. We are brought into God's family as individuals, but then we are connected together in the "body" of Christ.

Paul the Apostle said: "From Him the whole body, fitted and knit together by every supporting ligament, promotes the growth of the body for building up itself in love by the proper working of each individual part"(Eph. 4:16). Our job as members of God's family is to help each other grow in our relationship with Christ, reflecting His character more as we express "self-sacrificing, other-centered affection" (agape love).

You will find people at Calvary who truly love God and truly love one another with God's love.
